Happy Holidays

This is a long picture of me and a majority of my friends dressed as Hogwarts students! Notice that we each belong to a house! And you all thought that the sorting hat quiz at Ali's party was just for fun didn't you? HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Anyway, this took me about 4 days to complete. I started this about a day before Christmas and I hoped it would be finished by boxing day, but with all of the parties and family get togethers, a part of me knew I would not finnish this on time.
I posted it here so you can see it full view, hope you all like it and I hope you had a Very Merry Christmas! :3

Goshawk Attack

I drew a Goshawk! I think its pretty good. This was probably the first time I ever drew a real bird!!! I didn't want to add a background, I thought I would ruin it if I tried to. :)

Uncle Sy & Family

Cartoon versions of the Yorkin Family! YEAH! Just a little something I've been working on for the past week. I love drawing cartoons like these, turning ordinary humans into cooky looking characters is LOADS OF FUN! I'm really happy with the way this turned out! Not bad for my first attempt at a character design/lineup!

One Hour Photo

Have you seen this movie!? If you haven't.... SEE IT NOW!!!
This movie is like none other I have seen before! Mark Romanek writes and directs this movie with accute precision. He treats this film with great care and he pays more attention to details often overlooked by most directors. This film is a work of art rather than just another creepy phycological thriller movie.
I could really identify with Sy's character, I felt more sympathy for him rather than disgust. He just needs to feel that someone cares about him! Sy is a character you hate to love!
I give this movie a 9.5 out of 10! GO OUT AND BUY THIS!!!

Sound of the Ocean

Yes, I drew this seashell last week for my first Illustration assignment. I'm pretty happy with the way this one turned out! :)
I'm working on drawing a shoe right now, its not going so well... I've gone through 3 different drafts and I'm about ready to give up. What sucks is our work is going to be critiqued tommorow. I don't need people telling me my art sucks when I know it sucks as well. :(

Eat Your Pea Professor!

Ok, so for the past two days I have been obsessed with this minor villain character named 'Harold Smith' (seen in left of above photo) from The Powerpuff Girls. I used to love the show when I was young but I've never seen this character before.

LOOK AT THIS PHOTO! JUST LOOK AT IT! "Eat your pea professor or I will be forced to melt your head clear off your shoulders with my deadly pink hair dryer!!!" Mmm... wonder what kinda shit that guy makes his wife do... This clip made me LAUGH MY ASS OFF!!!! Witness one of the funniest scenes in cartoon history! WATCH IT! EAT IT! SWALLOW IT!

Maroon 5 & Stephen King

When you hear 'Maroon 5' what image pops into your head? Stephen King of course! Well, if your weird like me it makes perfect sense! :D

Today during my day off from college, I was working on my homework and listening to 'Misery' by Maroon 5 non stop! Something about that song, and its title, reminds me of Stephen King, probably because he has a book called 'Misery'. I've never read it but I'd sure like to. So I've also been watching some Stephen King related videos on youtube. Here is a rather funny one!
'Brian runs over Stephen King'

I remember watching 'The Children of the Corn' the last monday of my summer vacation. Man, was it ever good, and scary! It stuck in my mind like crazy glue! Every time I pass by a corn field (I pass by about 15 of them on my way to college) I now think of the story. But It doesn't really scare me, it's more intriguing than it is frightening. I would probably be a big Stephen King fan if it werent for the fact that I don't like to read and I get scared VERY easily. I've also seen other Stephen King movies like 'The Mist', 'Dream Catcher', 'Secret Window', 'Carrie' and 'The Shining'. They all sacred the crap out of me! Especially Dream Catcher! I refrained from drinking tap water for almost a month after watching that monstrosity!

I find it odd really. It seems as though I go through a small Stephen King phase every year around fall... well anyway, that's enough of my boring, pointless babble. I should go now, I caught a cold when I went shopping with Nikki and Ali Saturday, I hope I feel better tomorrow.

From not so humble beginnings

Hey there guys! Welcome to LadyVanDaele's Quizzical Blogspot! I was curios about starting a blog on this site after seeing my college chum Lydia's while we were in our Intro to Mac class, and I finally gave in when
I came across The Tooninator's blog page! So here we are!

This website will most likely be an 'art blog' just like Lydia's and Matt's. I will tell you all about my incredible adventures and I will add in some works if I feel that they are of any importance.

So while you're here lets not waste any time! Above you is a doodle I did in class today during another boring lecture. The character you see before you is little Vincent Van Gogh from the brilliantly underrated show Clone High. If you want to know more about him, heres a fun clip of him angsting on the show. You'll be seeing ALOT of this little guy here on my blog in the near future!

Well, that's all for now! See you again soon!
